The browser edition keeps documents in tabs; the native desktop edition supports separate document and tool windows. The browser download is about 21 MB and requires WebGL2. Clipboard, downloads and storage follow your browser’s permissions.
A desk that fits the way you work.
Dock the controls beside your page or let them float. Keep several documents open without giving every one a full set of controls. Switch to another application and the tools step aside.
Make it yours
Choose type, colors and formatting where you need them. Shared themes change the character of the controls without changing what they do. Recognizable buttons, visible tools and ordinary document windows keep the workspace understandable.
Keep the work connected.
A document can hold more than a copy of something. Supported text, objects and models can move between compatible tools, with connected views following the same underlying work.
Carry useful objects
Drag supported text and objects between documents and compatible applications. Save a copy to Files when you need an independent file, or keep a live connection when the source should keep updating.
Choose who can change it
Access belongs to the object and the operation. Sharing a document or model does not grant another tool access to everything else on your computer.

What the shared runtime does for you
The runtime keeps document state separate from the window showing it. Several tools can work with the same object without maintaining competing copies. GPU-backed views keep presentation responsive; recoverable application state gives supported processes a way to reconnect after a restart.
Signed release verification checks supported application components. Scoped permissions control access, and encrypted transports protect supported remote exchanges. Collaboration still needs compatible object types, authorization and a connected service. The public browser edition may expose fewer integrations than a configured desktop environment.

Before moving an existing workflow
DOC/DOCX, RTF, native printing, headers and footers, and review tools remain in development. Test a representative document before relying on a format handoff. Full ODF or Microsoft Word compatibility is not claimed.
